Dr. Souheil El Hakim

Dr. El Hakim, co-founder of STRATIS Group, completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at McGill University and is a leader and innovator specializing in medical device design and health technologies. He served as the CEO of Bıçakcılar Medical Devices, where he developed innovative projects in collaboration with entrepreneurs and companies worldwide. His areas of expertise include medical devices, ultrasound physics, neurosurgery, and surgical support systems.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Åžendemir

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Åžendemir, received her BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, and MS degree in Biomedical Engineering from BoÄŸaziçi University, and her PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. Her research interests include interactions of mammalian cells with biomaterials, tissue engineering, mechanobiology, and biocompatibility testing. She is particularly interested in design and production of in vitro tissue engineered 3D personalized disease models for pharmaceutical screening and minimizing animal testing.
