ASSOC. PROF. AYLİN ŞENDEMİR
Head of Research Group
Associate Professor Aylin ŞENDEMİR completed her doctoral studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, specializing in biomaterials and polymer physics. The subject of her doctoral thesis is on bone tissue engineering. To date, she has published over 50 articles and 10 book chapters in the field of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. Prof. Sendemir has completed two international and over 50 national projects. She collaborated with Drexel University, USA on the project "Evaluation of the effects of cell-biomaterial interactions on central nervous system cell behavior for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases". She has been the Turkish representative of 6 Actions in the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST Association)
